One-day classic La Fleche Wallonne VIP 2025 in Belgium

The one-day La Fleche Wallonne is one of the three ‘’Ardennes classics’’ in Belgium and it has been a part of the UCI world ranking calendar since 2009. Every year it takes place in April in the region of Wallonia. The La Fleche Wallonne is currently staged mid-week between the Amstel Gold Race and Liège–Bastogne–Liège. The finish of this cycling event includes three laps of a circuit with the tough Mur de Huy climb. Some sections are steeper than 15% and one section rises to 26%. The finish of the La Fleche Wallonne is at the top of the Mur de Huy.

Criquielion Area

Located at the top of the Mur de Huy, you will experience a spectacular atmosphere whilst enjoying the race. In this hospitality area, you will watch both the women’s and men’s races come past multiple times before seeing the winner cross the finish line.

  • The Hospitality area is positioned at the finish atop the famous Mur de Huy which features percentages of more than 15 % and one section rising to 26%. At the hospitality venue, you will enjoy the multiple passages of the women's and men's races.
  • Provisional timings for the day – will change once the route timings are announced
  •        08.30 – Women’s Start
  •        10.00 – Hospitality Venue opens
  •        10.30 – First passage Women
  •        11.30 - Second passage Women
  •        11.15 – Men’s race start
  •        12.00 – 12.30 - Finish Women’s race
  •        14.00 – Caravan passes
  •        15.00 – First passage Men
  •        15.30 - 16.00 – Second passage Men
  •        16.30 – 17.00 – Finish and winner’s ceremony
  •        17.30 - Venue closes - end of service

Airport 

  • Belgium’s main airport is Zaventem International Airport. There are many flights to and from Madrid/ Paris Charles de Gaulle/ Amsterdam/ Frankfurt/ Berlin/ Rome/ London Heathrow/Copenhagen/ Barcelona/ Athens/ Zurich and many more very important cities from all around the globe.
  • The second most important is Charleroi International Airport. Ryanair has a lot of flights to and from Charleroi.

Trains

  • The Airport’s train station is located below Zaventem International Airport. There are 4 to 5 trains an hour to/from Brussels North, Brussels Central, and the main station Brussels Midi. From here all trains connect you to several destinations in Belgium. International Trains will leave to and from Brussels Midi Railway station.
  • Gent is only a 30-minute ride from Brussels Zaventem Airport. Ghent’s main railway station is Sint-Pieters.
