Gran Fondo Milan San Remo 2025 – Sunday 8 June 2025. The Gran Fondo Milan San Remo copies the original Spring Classic and Monument, which takes place in March. Ride the longest route on the pro cycling calendar with Sportive Breaks.

Cycle the same route as the famous Spring Classic

Milan-San Remo is the first of the 5 Monuments of Cycling. This is the longest one-day event of the entire Pro calendar. The Granfondo MILAN – SAN REMO Amatori cicloturista in June covers the same route as the famous Spring Classic. This is one of the longest one-day amateur road cycling events, with a distance of approximately 298km from the outskirts of Milan, crossing the Lombardy and Piedmont Plains, proceeding to the ascent of the Turchino and arriving finally at the Ligurian Riviera.

Logistics are tricky as the start and the finish are so far apart, but don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! This is your opportunity to ride the route of the longest one-day event on the UCI calendar. Stay 2 nights in Milan and 1 night in San Remo near the start/ finish, with breakfasts and dinners included. Included as well are your Gran Fondo entry and the services of thw local team led by Giro d’Italia stage winner Andrea Ferrigato. On race day, there will be 2 private feed stations plus transport of your luggage and bike boxes to San Remo

Day 1
Friday : Arrival Day
Please make your own arrangements to meet in the hotel or at Milan Malpensa Airport. There will be one transfer from the airport today at 11.30. This transfer is available at €105 per person return. Please allow an hour from your flight landing time to your transfer time, to allow you to get through passport control and collect your luggage. The hotel is located minutes away from the start of the Gran Fondo. The hotel is booked on a Half Board basis, with breakfasts and evening meals included. Late afternoon and early evening, the tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. You will have an evening meal together at the hotel.
Day 2
Saturday : Preparation day and guided ride
After breakfast and any final bike adjustments, there will be a supported, guided ride. A short coffee spin has been organised to keep your legs moving, but nothing too strenuous the day before the sportive. Race pack collection and preparation for the Gran Fondo. The expo is just a short ride away from your hotel. This afternoon and early evening, the tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. This evening, the bike guides will do a race briefing to run through GF Milan San Remo race day logistics and the route. You will have an evening meal together at the hotel.  
Day 3
Sunday : 2025 Gran Fondo Milan Sanremo – 300km with 2000m of climbing
The Gran Fondo Milan - San Remo cicloturista covers the 300km that separate Milan from San Remo, retracing the same roads as the Spring Classicissima. There are a couple of slight differences at the start and the finish. The finish is in San Remo. The Gran Fondo Milan San Remo cicloturista follows the same routes of the Classicissima of the centennial, with the legendary climbs of Turchino, Cipressa, and Poggio that have given this event its mythical status.
  • PASSO DEL TURCHINO – 3.2km, 373m of climbing with an average gradient of 1.4% and a max gradient of 6%
  • CAPO MELE – 2.5km, 104m of climbing with an average gradient of 5.2% and a max gradient of 6%
  • CAPO CERVO – 2.5km, 110m of climbing with an average gradient of 4.1% and a max gradient of 5%
  • CAPO BERTA – 3km, 128m of climbing with an average gradient of 4.3% and a max gradient of 8%
  • CIPRESSA – 5.6km, 226m of climbing with an average gradient of 4.1% and a max gradient of 7%
  • POGGIO DI SAN REMO – 3.7km, 137m of climbing with an average gradient of 3.5% and a max gradient of 6%
Today is the day! You have an early start this morning. Early breakfasts are arranged in the hotel restaurant. Please have your luggage ready at reception, as they will be transported to San Remo whilst you ride. The staff will be on hand this morning if you have any last-minute mechanical issues, and to give you directions to the start line. There will be a private feed and support stations on the route, as you will be riding during lunch today. At the finish you will go back to your hotel in San Remo. In San Remo you can have the post-ride pasta buffet. Post-ride beers at the hotels from 17:00. You will have an evening meal together at the hotel this evening, where you can share tales of your exploits. There will be someone who helps you with re-packing your bikes for travel tomorrow.
Day 4
Monday : Departure day
There will be one airport transfer to Nice Airport today. You will leave San Remo at 08:00, and you'll arrive at the airport at 09:00 for flights departing after 11:30. This is available at €105 per person return. If you book a flight at any other time, please contact us directly to discuss private transfer options. Airport transfers to other airports is also possible, but it depends on how many people are departing at the same time.
Medical
MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
PLEASE NOTE, AT RACE REGISTRATION, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT A DOCTOR'S NOTE STATING THERE ARE NO KNOWN MEDICAL REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT COMPETE. Alternatively, if you have a UCI recognised Cycling Racing Licence, with the Medical Certificate included, you can use this. If you participate using the Medical Certificate, you will also be required to purchase a day's licence to ride in the event at approximately 15 Euros per licence. You will be able to add the day licence to your Gran Fondo entry at a later time.
  • MEDICAL CERTIFICATE Additionally, all riders taking the Day Licence must have a Medical Sports Certificate which was issued within 6 months of the event and must be presented at race registration. This should state: 'The data of the athlete' the indication of the sport for which it required the visit to the doctor: CYCLING the statement of the sports doctor that THE ATHLETE, ON THE BASE OF MEDICAL CONTROL, DOES NOT HAVE CONTRAINDICATIONS

Airport

  • Milan has three important airports; the most important airport is Milan Malpensa, from here many flights leave /arrive worldwide.
  • Airport Milan Linate has a lot of domestic and European flights to all important cities in Europe. There is a shuttle bus connecting Malpensa with Linate Airport. The ride between the two airports takes more than an hour.
  • Airport Bergamo (officially Orio al Serio International Airport) is northeast of Milan, close to the city of Bergamo. This airport is especially used by budget companies like Ryanair.

Train

  • From Milan Malpensa Airport to Milan Central station are Malpensa Shuttle busses departing: every 30 to 60 minutes Length: 1 hour.
  • From Milan Linate International Airport to Milan Central Station busses depart every 30 minutes Length: 20 minutes.
  • Bergamo Airport has no direct train connection, but there is a shuttle bus that takes you to the station in Bergamo.
