Please meet at the hotel in San Remo today. If you plan to fly, airport transfers will be offered for you, with your luggage and your bike from Nice. The transfer departs at 12.30, so please arrive an hour before this time. The transfers can be booked as an extra in the booking process for €115. The journey to San Remo takes about 1 hour. The mechanic is available this afternoon to fit rental bikes and to assist you with building your own bike after travel. Bikes can be stored at the hotel. The evening meal is also at the hotel.
Day 2
Milan San Remo Day - March 21
After breakfast and preparing the bikes, you'll take on a supported, guided ride that takes in the route of the Milan-Sanremo, including the final 25km of the pro race route. You'll ride across the finish line in Sanremo before the finish of pros finish just hours later. After taking photos on the winner’s podium, you'll have access to Milan San Remo Finish Hospitality and an afternoon of watching the pro riders in action. You'll then head back to the hotel to rest and get prepared for tomorrow if you would like to take part in the Gran Fondo. Dinner is at the hotel.
Day 3
Gran Fondo Day - March 22
You were able to see how the riders of the Men’s cycling elite handled the roads yesterday – today it’s your turn! Gran Fondo San Remo - San Remo The ‘Classicissima’ San Remo – San Remo (not to be confused with the Gran Fondo Milan - San Remo in June) is the right Gran Fondo to trace the paths of the great champions of yesteryear and today. This 100km Gran Fondo winds through the roads of the most beautiful locations in the province of Imperia. The starting point for the Gran Fondo route in San Remo is on Lungomare Salvo d’Acquisto, just steps from the sea. The ascent of the Cipressa guards a well-preserved historic centre of the village of San Lorenzo al Mare. The backdrop to the village is the olive groves from which the precious extra virgin olive oil is derived. The legend of the Classicissima: the Poggio di San Remo The famous climb of the Poggio comes at the end of the Gran Fondo just before the finish in Sanremo. After this journey through some of the most picturesque corners of the western Ligurian region, a toast with a glass of fresh Vermentino and a piece of warm Sardenaira, Sanremo’s most famous speciality, is a must. You'll be assisted with packing bikes after the race. Dinner is at the hotel.
Day 4
Departure day - March 23
Time to say goodbye & good flight back home! After breakfast, either make your own onward plans or take advantage of our optional transfer back to Nice Airport (available at extra cost). You'll depart Sanremo at 09:00. The airport transfer arrives in Nice at 10:30 in line with flights that depart after 12:30. Private transfers can be booked on request.
