The mighty Italian Alps in Italy are perfectly located in the northeast corner of Italy, near Switzerland and Austria. This stunning area has one of the most spectacular mountain ranges in the European Alps. Right in the middle of the Italian Alps, you can find the beautiful ski resort, Bormio. The Italian Alps are a real cycling paradise for every keen cyclist. Here you’ll experience one of the most challenging cycling tracks and mythical climbs. Conquer all great & tough climbs with breathtaking views! The climbs to Passo Mortirollo, Gavia, and of course one of the most famous climbs in the world the climb to the summit of Passo Dello Stelvio are first-class challenges. Enjoy four days in the spa town of Bormio with daily rides covering both sides of the Stelvio, the mighty Mortirolo and the stunning Gavia. With a fully supported route each day, this is suitable for fit riders with a love for the mountains and spectacular views. On the road you will be looked after by Giro d’Italia stage winner Andrea Ferrigato and his team of local riders.

Day 1
Arrival & Warm Up Ride
Arrive at Milan Malpensa before 10:30am for the transfer to Bormio. You arrive for around 3pm where the mechanic will be waiting to help build bikes. After check-in to the hotel you have time to go for a 25km warm-up spin before your welcome dinner at 19:30pm along with a brief on the weekend.
Day 2
Stelvio
The Queen Stage. You start at 9am (depending on weather and time of year) and immediately begin the climb up to the Stelvio from Bormio. The main bunch climb from Bormio, before descending down the iconic Prato side before stopping for lunch. You will then climb the other side and descend back to the hotel. You will have regular feed stops and there is a lead guide with each group. After the ride you will grab a beer on the terrace before dinner.
Day 3
Mortirolo
Another 9am roll out to start the day, we will descend down to the valley of Grosio where you have a choice when climbing the mighty Mortirolo. The first side from Grosio is 14km at 8%, or you can continue to Mazzo for the more famous side which is 12km at 11%. You will regroup at the top and descend to Grosio and Bormio.  
Day 4
Gavia & Cancano
You will start at 9am again and ride to the Gavia from Bormio which is around 25km. You can then ride Cancano if you still have enough energy after a tough couple of days!
Day 5
Departure Day
Your transfer home is at 10am so you’ll get a well-earned lie in, late breakfast and the opportunity for some last minute souvenirs before heading home.

Airport transfer

  • Arrive by 10:30am for 11:15am transfer (arriving in Bormio at 3pm)
  • Depature Bormio at 10am and get to Malpensa for 13:30pm. Please book flights that leave after 15:30pm.

Airport collections are from Milan Malpensa (MXP) and the drive to Bormio takes just over three hours. Due to the long transfer, private transfers are expensive. Contact us for options that fit your flight schedule whether you are flying to Milan Malpensa or Milan Bergamo (BGY)
