  • Feel the ambiance of the race as you follow the riders on the track from the start to the finish.
  • Saturday, April 26 will be a day you will never forget. The tour version of Liege-Bastogne-Liege is the most challenging Cycle event during the Spring Classics season. Ride steep, tough climbs and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere.
  • Cycle the Ardennes and explore the beautiful medieval villages on your way due to the Ardennes.
  • Delight yourself in the Belgian gastronomic specialties.

Discover and cycle the Ardennes which is especially relevant because of its rolling hills, beautiful valleys, ancient towns, and local gastronomic specialties. The Liège-Bastogne-Liège (La Doyenne) UCI World Tour Classic is since 1892 a classic Tour. Furthermore, Liège-Bastogne-Liège is one of the five cycle monuments. LBL is the toughest race with very difficult climbs, winding roads, and rolling hills. Due to the late winter, the race was sometimes affected by snow and therefore Liège-Bastogne-Liège is a first-class challenger.

Day 1
Friday, April 25 Check in
  • One transfer from the airport at 11.30. Please allow an hour from your flight landing time to your transfer time, to allow you to get through passport control and collect your luggage. The transfer takes approximately 1 hour so we will get to Liege at about 12.30.
  • Alternatively, you can rent a bike online see the front page for the weekend.  Bikes can be safely stored at the hotel.
  • Your Sportive Entry is available for you so no need to visit the expo today to collect your bib for tomorrow's LBL challenge. If you have hired a bike, we will take you to collect your bike.
  • You stay at the 4 **** Hotel in Liege Centre, located 4km from the Quai des Ardennes where the pro race starts and finishes on Sunday. The hotel is booked on a half-board basis with breakfasts and evening meals included.
  • Guided ride At 14.00 this afternoon after bike building and fitting of rental bikes, join your first ride; a 60km guided ride around Liege that takes in some of the LBL routes including La Redoute.
  • Late afternoon and early evening, the tour leaders and bike mechanics are available for you. This afternoon you are free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities. You are free to eat your meal at the hotel or to explore some of Liege’s restaurants. Moules Frites anyone?
  • This evening the bike guides will do a race briefing to run through the LBL Challenge race day logistics and of course the route. Access to the hotel gym
Day 2
Saturday, April 26 LBL challenge
Today is the day with an early start this morning. Early breakfasts are arranged in the hotel restaurant.
  • For 2025 the Liege Bastogne Liege Challenge will start and finish in the town of Sprimont, 25km South of Liege. After breakfast, you will be taken to Sprimont where your challenge awaits you!
  • The challenge operates rolling start times rather than a mass start so you can start between the below times.
  • Start Times
  • 257 km: between 6:30 am and 7:30 am
  • 147 km: between 6:30 am and 9:30 am
  • 70 km: between 8:00 am and 10:00 am
  • The official closing of the finish is scheduled to be at 8 pm.
  • Transport back to Liege and evening meal at the hotel.
  • The return after the finish You will have some food and drinks available at the finish and operate a shuttle service back to Liege based on when people finish.
Day 3
Sunday, April 27 Liege-Bastogne-Liege pro race
The race starts at about 09:00 and finishes at about 16.00. After the riders are on the way,  a guided ride will be provided to watch the riders come past several times in different locations. You will be back in Liege for the finish. The location in Liege is ideal for accessing the start area where you will be able to see the teams arrive. As an optional extra to your package, you can add on any of the 3 VIP tickets; VIP Access Finish, VIP Access Start, and VIP Start to Finish.
Day 4
Monday, April 28 Departure Day
On Monday, one airport transfer to Brussels Airport: departure at 09.00 for flights departing after 12.00.

Train

  • The Airport’s train stations are located below Zaventem’s International Airport and Schiphol International Airport.
  • Trains from Schiphol International Airport to Liege Railway Station are running frequently  The train ride takes approx three and a half hours. The Thalys (fast train between Paris and Amsterdam) has frequent fares, at least every half an hour between Paris Gare du Nord – Lille – Brussels Midi- Antwerp- Rotterdam – Amsterdam. The Eurostar (train which connects Great Britain to Continental Europe) from/ to London has up to 9 fares per day.
