Self-guided road cycling tour Sevilla

The province of Sevilla has a great variety of terrain and landscapes.  During this self-guided Sevilla Provence tour you will ride on secondary roads through Spain’s finest countryside, passing white-washed villages. Once you leave stunning Sevilla you follow the old” Ruta de Plata” This famous road joins the south of Spain with the northern part. The region of Andalusia is a hilly region this self-guided will lead through the most beautiful parts of Andalusia be aware there are some climbs to tackle! You ride across the Sierra Morena from west to east and gently ascend into the Sierra Morena.

Enjoy the silence and the landscapes of the Sierra Morena. After that, you will go southward where you will notice the changes in the terrain. Here you find the river valley of Guadalquivir where you will visit the more popular towns of the south. Almost the end of the trip! Enjoy the flatter open horizons until it is time to return to the capital, Sevilla. This route allows you to experience all this variety so that you know the province of Sevilla pretty well.

Day 1
Check in
Arrival in Sevilla and check in at the hotel
Day 2
Sevilla to Zufre 81km
You leave Sevilla and take a course through the north which briefly follows the Ruta de Plata, the old road which joins the south of Spain with the north. Taking a couple of secondary local roads and passing through some small towns you gently ascend into the Sierra Morena. Once on the road to Portugal, you will notice the horizons open to the south and north and once you have passed by the town of El Castillo de las Guardas you make your last turn of the day and once more follow a country road into the Sierra until you reach the town of Zufre, your residence for the night.
Day 3
Zufre to Cazalla de la Sierra 75km
Leaving Zufre and freewheeling downhill into the valley of the Embalse de Zufre and climbing back out again you begin the first of two days riding laterally across the Sierra Morena west to east. Now you can sit back in the saddle and enjoy the winding road towards Cazalla de la Sierra passing through Santa Olalla del Cala and Real de la Jarra.
Day 4
Cazalla de la Sierra to Constantina 66km
A shorter ride today. This stage crosses the highest points of the Sierra Morena from Cazalla de la Sierra to Constantina. The day ends in Constantina one of the largest principal towns of the Sierra.
Day 5
Constantina to Carmona 72km
Now it’s all downhill! Down and away into the river valley. The terrain changes radically as it becomes wider, and more open and the surrounding agriculture changes distinctly. The day ends at Carmona, a town with many monuments, a walled city wonderfully intact and full of rich and varied architecture.
Day 6
Carmona back to Sevilla 80km
With a nice easy pedal cadence and little effort, you will cruise across the river valley and the open country on a longer but very flat stage. In the town of Utrera, you can take the time to stop and eat in this old town complete with its castle. The journey is now almost complete. It is on some smaller back roads that you will return to Sevilla from the south. The circle is now complete, and you come to know the Province of Seville.

Departure day
Departure day... Time to say goodbye, a good flight back home or else a pleasant stay in Spain
