The route starts from the waters of Lake Garda and a visit to Verona. Head to Montagnana at the foot of the Euganean Hills and then Vicenza, rich in beautiful buildings designed by the famous architect Andrea Palladio. You’ll head north to Bassano del Grappa (yes, grappa!) embraced by mountains; and then ride to Treviso and eventually reach the sea, enjoying a great view over Venice. The route mainly in the flat land, skirts the Berici Hills and the Prealps beautiful areas where you can find elegant villas and lush nature. Final destination: the beautiful Venice! The last overnight will be in Mestre, and from there Venice is only 10 minutes away, by tram or train.

Lake Garda - Venice Cycling Tour

Day 1
Arrival in Verona
Individual arrival in Verona. Individual arrival in Verona. Meet&Greed and Bike fitting at Itinera Bike shop, if rental included. Overnight in Verona.
Day 2
From Verona to Lake Garda, and back - 65km +500mt
From the city center of Verona, you’ll bike towards Garda Lake among vineyards and olive trees. The view of the lake is wonderful: a charming blue mirror among high mountains. You can visit the villages of Garda and Bardolino, and then head back to the City of Love. Overnight in Verona.
Day 3
From Verona to Montagnana - 65km +200mt
From Verona you’ll head East following the river Adige, cycling on bike paths and small country roads. You can stop in Cologna Veneta, the city of the delicious mandorlato (nougat), and then get to Montagnana, a small medieval city surrounded by well-preserved old walls. Overnight in Montagnana.
Day 4
From Montagnana to Vicenza -57km +350mt
Today’s route runs through the flatlands to the foot of the Berici Hills along little roads in the middle of vineyards and cultivated fields, passing by ancient villages, villas, and parks. Before getting to Vicenza, the charming city of Andrea Palladio, you‘ll pass by his most famous masterpiece: Villa La Rotonda. Overnight in Vicenza.
Day 5
From Vicenza to Bassano del Grappa - 47km +250mt
The route winds in the countryside of Vicenza and approaches to the foot of the Prealps, an area rich of rural houses and elegant Venetian Villas. Make a stop in the walled city of Marostica, famous for its living chess event and square, and in Villa Angarano, designed by Andrea Palladio: there you taste their nice organic wines. The arrival in Bassano del Grappa crossing the well-known wooden bridge will let you enjoy the beautiful view over the mountains. Overnight in Bassano del Grappa.
Day 6
From Bassano del Grappa to Treviso - 69km +200mt
The route crosses a green area between Monte Grappa and the hills of Asolo, follows bike paths along streams of spring water, and arrives in Castelfranco Veneto, a walled city famous for being Giorgione’s hometown. The road to Treviso runs on a shady bike path built over an old railway. Overnight in Treviso.
Day 7
From Treviso to Venice Lagoon - 55km +200mt
From Treviso you’ll follow the winding Sile river on a beautiful bike path, deep in the green of the countryside, just interrupted by some noble Venetian Villas that reflect on the clear water of the river. The standard bike itinerary ends in Mestre, Venezia is only 20 minutes away by bus or 10 minutes by train. But if you want to reach Venice by bike, you can follow an extra route and ride on the Freedom Bridge to Piazzale Roma (Venice), with +9 km. We’ll bring you the luggage and collect the bikes at the Hotel of Mestre. Overnight in Mestre (Venice)
