Day 1
Arrival in L’Aquila
Arrive in L'Aquila to meet the guide and bike test. The visit to the capital city, one of the main cities of Italy for history and culture. You will be able to visit: San Bernardino church, 99 spouts, Spanish Fortification, Bright Fountain and Castle Park, Municipal Theater, Duomo Square, and the Duomo. Dinner will be typical.
Day 2
L'Aquila to Fonte Cerreto 65km
You will travel by bus to the base of the ascent of the cable car that connects Campo Imperatore. You will go up to the square where the astronomical observatory is located and the structure that hosted Mussolini in his imprisonment during the Second World War. In the presence of the peaks of the massif, you descend towards Campo Imperatore plan (small Tibet) going up the Pantani climb in reverse. You will return to Assergi to take a road that will take us to Passo Delle Capannelle Pass and to Campotosto Lake. Typical dinner.
Day 3
Campotosto Lake to Teramo 49km
Today you travel along with one of the most beautiful roads for cycle tourism, the main street of Park, descending to Teramo, and visit the historic village. Ride along the Vomano River, with glimpses of rare beauty crossing Tottea, Senarica, and Montorio al Vomano. You will reach Teramo, the city rises in a hollow at the confluence of the Torino Vezzola rivers, in the same place as ancient Interamnia, a Roman Colony. A historic center is a charming place, full of small churches and narrow streets. Here stands the Duomo built in the 12th century in a typical medieval style. Teramana dinner and overnight in the city.
Day 4
Torano Nuovo to Giuglianova
The arrival stage will be on the crystalline sea of the Teramo coast. Giulianova will be the final destination of the tour, it will receive us with the sea, and the beaches and a nice swim at the sea will be the award for your bike tour in Abruzzo. But first, you cross the wine road to reach Controguerra and Corropoli, before descending to Alba Adriatica and following the cycle path along the sea to the Lido di Giulianova. Arrival at the residence. Dinner by the sea. Overnight
Day 5
Teramo coast - Giulianova
The route that brings you to the crystalline sea of the Teramo coast. Giulianova will be the final destination of your trip. The sea, beaches, and a nice swim will wait for you after this cycling journey in Abruzzo. Also, you will cross the wine route to reach Controguerra and Corropoli, before descending to Alba Adriatica to follow the cycle path along the sea up to Giulianova Lido. Arrival at the residence. Seafood dinner.
Day 6
Departure Day
Departure day... Time to say goodbye, have a good flight back home.
